Welcome to 2024. To kick things off, my art and an article I wrote are featured in a magazine called Nikkei Monogatari Online Zine. It’s an online magazine that shares stories and art by Nikkei or folks who are interested in the Nikkei world. My work is in Volume 3 titled, “The Nikkei Shokutaku: Stories, Recipes and Memories of ‘Japanese” Food.”
I write about how I first saw a representation of myself as “dancing food” on Disney and how stereotypes are quick, easy, and unhealthy for us as highly processed food.
